Weekend Dives 4 & 5 June 2011

dscn1269Saturday 4 June we will be launching from the JBay Ski Boat Club at 08:00 and we will be diving Discovery Channel reef. Its a nice shallow dive with lots of surprises. Raggies, Big fish, Nudi's and lots more. A few PADI Open Water students will be doing their ocean dives so come and join us.

On Sunday 5 June launch is at 07:30 and we intend to do a double tank dive at St Francis and we will be diving Shark Point Pinnacle and Seal Point. Shark Point Pinnacle is 24m deep but drops down to about 40m so Advanced divers only please. On Seal Point we have a number of spots thanks to Louw who has been scouting the reef for us.

If the weather doesn't allow us to go to St Francis I intend to search for the Caves near Gamtoos River again and or a Wreck that is also close to Kabeljouws River. These are also deeper dives so Advanced divers only.

At 11:00 we will be doing a second launch for the PADI Open Water divers to complete their ocean dives and we will be diving Jagged Edge reef.

Bookings are essential and remember to inform me if you require any equipment when you book your dives.

On Friday night it's the monthly JBay Underwater Club evening and Neville has some GREAT news regarding the planned dive fest that will be held in JBay in conjunction with the Shell Festival. Braai packs are available at the bar or bring your own meat and salads. Pap and sous will be supplied. Remember the pub is licensed and will be open. Bring some friends with and make a night of it! See you all there.
