During February and March we got a few dives in at JBay and Noordhoek with our newly revamped boat. It looks great with the new pontoons and trailer. We completed the PADI Deep Diver and SMB specialties but the highlight was our trip to Mozambique. A big thanks to the staff at Guinjata Dive Centre who made our dives, accommodation and everything else so special!! We were treated to some Manta's and a Whale Shark on Manta reef. Our very own pomp jockey Alan also did a discover scuba dive and at age 62 did his first dive in the ocean. We are in the process of uploading photos and video clips on our website!
Easter weekend has come and gone and we only managed to get two dives in due to strong easterly winds. Paul put some photos on our website and face-book page so check it out.
For May we are planning something different. Dives at Wondergat and Marico Oog in the North West Province. Leaving Port Elizabeth on 1 May and heading off to Bloemfontein, where the guys from Alternative Dive Group will be joining us on our trip, and then further up north to Mafikeng. Divers from JHB and PTA have also indicated that they will be joining us. Full info will be on our website and face-book page soon and some of the specialties that we will complete whilst there include Altitude, Nitrox, Deep etc.
In June we have the annual Wildside Dive Fest from the 15th to the 17th at Noordhoek Ski Boat Club. Please note that divers need to book with their preferred operator this year and a bookings page is available on our website. A once off R 100-00 registration fee for all divers and dives at only R100-00 per dive apply so please support them.
